The national heritage market hall and new office building complex is located in the upcoming southern commercial zone of Budapest. The building and the close neighbourhood suffered all kinds of interventions during privatisation after 1989, before the Wallis Real Estate Corporation started the development of the area. While the national heritage building was renovated strictly following the original drawings from 1927, the new office building is placed in a fragile equilibrium by an existing concrete garage building on the opposite side.
