Tettye Winehouse
Marp Kft. - Pécs (H) - 2009
13. Oktober 2010 - Architekturarchiv Ungarn
The building is part of the 2010 European Cultural Capital project in Pécs, together with the reneweal of the whole Tettye district and a public park. The project included the renovation of the last remaining wine press house of the area, and an extention housing new facilities to display the local winemakeing traditions. Terraces divide the huge slope of the plot, supported by local stone retaining walls. The new building is hidden underground in the topmost wall. The upper terrace is sheltered by a steel canopy covered by creeper grape. (architects' text)
